Brooklyn Chili smackdown?

I applaud all chili contests but this Sounds like a poor attempt to replicate the "BROOKLYN CHILI TAKEDOWN". At least you can come up with a name that doesn't make you sound like a complete impostor.

For the real "Brooklyn Chili takedown" Brooklyn's premier chili contest go to www.chili-takedown.com

Haven't you ever heard that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery?

The Chili portion of this contest is very much based on the outstanding Chili Take Down that is run tri-annually by the one and only Matt Timms. In no way are we trying to supplant The Chili Take Down. I believe the more contests out there the better!

The name The Brooklyn Chili Smack Down was chosen as an homage to the Chili Take Down. According to Wikipedia, "Homage in the Middle Ages was the ceremony in which a feudal tenant or vassal pledged reverence and submission to his feudal lord" And we pledge reverence to our feudal lord, Sir Timms. Submission, well that's another matter.

Matt is aware of what we're doing and from our last conversation there is a very good chance that he'll be at Grillin' On The Bay.

Are you attending Matt's Bacon TakeDown on March 29th? I'll be there getting my ass kicked as one of the competitors again.
